Feel free to watch our how to-video or read the step by step instructions below.
First of all, sign in to the cobby portal on app.cobby.io.
If you have successfully logged in to the new cobby portal, you can create your own workspace. Click on Add workspace (1). Now another mask will open. You can give your workspace a name, which you can also change later. (2) Then click on Create to create your workspace. (3)
Once you have created your workspace, you can select your shop system: Magento Version 1
In the first step (1) of the setup, you can download the cobby extension for Magento 1 (2). Now you have to install it in your Magento shop. You can find a short tutorial on Github.
After you have installed the cobby extension in your Magento 1, click on Next in the portal (3).
You are now in the cobby portal under step 2.
In the Magento 1 backend, click on System (1) in the top menu bar and select Web Services (2) → SOAP/XML-RPC – Roles (3) from the drop-down menu.
By clicking Add New Role (1) a new mask is opened.
As role name we assign the name “cobby” and an admin password. You can enter an admin password of your choice.
Once the role name and password have been assigned, click on Role Resources (1).
Now we select the folder cobby (2), set a check mark and then save by clicking on Save Role in the upper right corner (3).
Now click on System (1) in the top menu bar and select Web Services (2) → SOAP/XML-RPC – Users (3) from the drop-down menu.
Then click Add New User on the right side. (4)
Now go to the menu System and click on User Information → User Info (1). Enter a user name and an api key of your choice (2). These data are needed in the cobby portal.
Once all mandatory fields of the new user are filled in, switch to User Role (1) and select your previously created Role Name (2) and save the user (3).
In the cobby portal, the required fields are now filled in. (1)
To do this, enter your shop URL, the user name created in the backend and the corresponding API key (2) and confirm your entries by clicking on Next (3).
Finally, the configuration must be saved.
Proceed as follows: Magento 1-Backend → System (1) → Configuration (2).
In the new mask, click on Save Config in the upper right corner. Next to the label cobby version the text should now turn green.
Now your shop data will be synchronised with cobby. Depending on the amount of data, this may take a while.
When you switch to the cobby portal, you will get a new overview.
Under the point Downloads you can download your cobby Excel plugin.
